Privacy Policy — Summary (EN)

This page provides a non-binding English summary of the fishRadar Privacy Policy. The binding text is the Polish version at fishradar.pl/strona/polityka-prywatnosci.

Data controller

fishRadar, contact: privacy@fishradar.pl

Data we process

Account data: email address, password (hashed), display name.
GPS / location: used to find nearby fishing spots. Collected only with your consent via browser/OS permission.
Payment data: processed by Stripe (USA). fishRadar stores only the subscription status, not card details.
Technical diagnostics: error logs, browser/device information, IP address — sent to Sentry (crash reporting service) under legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). Data is minimised and PII-filtered before transmission.
Map tile requests: loading map layers (OpenStreetMap, ArcGIS, RainViewer, Open-Meteo) requires your browser to contact those external providers, which may log your IP address.
Community data: chat messages, direct messages, group posts and public fishing journal entries if you use the community features.
Fishing journal: catches, waypoints, fishing notes — stored to provide the service.

External processors (data recipients)

Stripe — payment processing (USA, under standard contractual clauses).
Sentry (Functional Software Inc.) — crash reporting and diagnostics (USA, under standard contractual clauses). PII is filtered before sending.
Anthropic — AI assistant features (USA, under standard contractual clauses).
OpenStreetMap / ArcGIS / RainViewer / Open-Meteo — map and weather tile providers (EU/international). These providers may receive your IP address when tiles are loaded.

Your rights (GDPR)

Access: download your data at Account > Export data.
Deletion: delete your account at Account > Delete account.
Rectification, portability, objection: email privacy@fishradar.pl
Complaint: supervisory authority UODO (uodo.gov.pl).

Data retention

Account data is retained while the account is active and for the period required to secure legal claims. Technical logs (Sentry) are retained per Sentry's retention policy (typically 90 days). Community messages are subject to automatic expiry periods defined in the service.
